This two day White water safety rescue course  ( WWSR) is a full on intense experience packed full off rescue scenarios in a whitewater environment, its also one of the most fun courses to take part in

Over the two day course you will cover  awareness of safety principles , practice some personal survival techniques, and learn effective throw line, boat rescue and live bate techniques. and brush up on your whitewater rescue skills

Weather you want to use your WWSR training as a confidence booster to make you an more capable and skilled member of any group on the river or using it as prerequisite to coaching or leadership awards 
Your white water safety & Rescue will give you the same learning experience, and confidence in what to do in an emergency

This is a phycal course so please make sure your equipment is sturdy,  especially footwear , likewise you will need to be in good health no good trying to spend two days climbing around river banks learning whitewater rescue skills if your nursing an injury,

Pre requisites
Confident grade 2 paddler.
The ability to swim confidently, wearing normal paddling clothes
Be a minimum of 14 years of age
Equipment
if you feel you are lacking in anything please get in touch I can provide most stuff you will require

Personal paddling Kit especially footwear suitable for scrambling around banks
Throwline – Floating high visibility rope, minimum length 15m, minimum diameter 8mm.
River Knife – sharp, safely stowed but easily accessible single-handed.
2 to 3 Karabiners – Locking HMS pear shaped anodised alloy karabiners.
An un-knotted 3 – 5m length of climbers tape webbing
Buoyancy Aid with quick release chest harness
Whistle
Kayak or canoe
